Glenbrooke Woods sits four miles south of Reston Towne Center along Reston Parkway and four miles north of Fair Oaks Mall and Fairfax Towne Center along West Ox Road. About 10 miles to the east is Tysons Corner, the largest shopping zone between NYC and Miami and home to several leading businesses such as USA Today, Bearing Point, and Freddie Mac.

Within 1-3 miles Glenbrooke Woods homeowners can shop at Safeway, Giant, Shoppers, and Food Lion. The Oak Hill US Post Office sits just across Fairfax County Parkway to the west about two miles. The Dulles Airport is seven miles as the crow flies or about a 15 minute drive. AOL, MCI, EDS, shopping complexes and business in Chantilly, Herndon, Leesburg, and Falls Church are all within 10-30 minutes depending on traffic. The only thing missing is a really close drive-through McDonald's.
